Better to Let it Go

better to let it go by simplymarrimye

Love needs to be flourished
not be wasted away.
Respect and trust make it blossom
every single day.

Love is not selfish nor wicked
never egoistic and narrow
Any relationship will fail...
then parting ways will follow.

Love knows how to say sorry
if mistakes are done
It can forgive and forget
but betrayal is something to regret.

Love can survive any challenge
if both are open-minded
but if miserable being together...
it's better to let go than hurt each other.

Love can be a bed of roses
but when thorns keep wounding the heart,
repeatedly...
it's better to lose sight of its beauty.

    1. In any relationship, it's healthy to have petty quarrels or serious fights but it's no longer normal if these arguments are done frequently or over and over again with the same reason.

    1. Saying I LOVE YOU is not enough to prove that you truly love a person. Doing what you say is what matters.

  4. Very true and some wise words! Holding on causes more harm than good, having parents that raged at each other daily as I was growing affected me as a teenager and only through good grace did I learn not to repeat my parents mistake. Wise words, my advice to anyone in a difficult relationship, look to yourself to improve things, what can you improve about yourself and how you handle the situation to stop the circle of mistrust, you, your family and your partner deserve inner peace. thanks for sharing very thought provoking. Stephen

    1. Keeping a relationship strong is never easy. It needs a lot of hard work for both partners but if they can hardly compromise and settle things in healthy communication, then that's the time to confront reality and get it over and done with.

  5. I think if it's not really working and it's hurting you more than it's keeping you inspired. It's time to let go.

    1. Actually, I'm a witness to this kind of love-hurt relationship. It's not that I wish them to part ways, I just thought that their life and their kid's future are at stake.

    1. What about the last line, Sir Papaleng? A rose is like LOVE that has thorns which can hurt someone if not properly handled and well-cared of.

  8. Reminds me of the quote: If you love someone, set him free, If he comes back, he's yours, if he doesn't then it was never meant to be.
I could not help but agree. It is pointless to stay in a relationship where all you get is pain. Let it go.

    1. Pain is part of loving but we have to be happy while in love and not always be miserable and sad.

  9. So true... love is respect for each other... People should grow I love nor "fall" !!

    1. Trust and respect should be observed in any relationship for without these traits, love will eventually die in vain.

  10. It's easier said than done! Why? Because I was once like that... I was unhappy in the relationship as my ex two-timed me, but I refused to let go and mistook that for love... But of course, I've let go. It hurts, but life gets better~

    1. Letting go is a decision to make. Some people chose to be free from agony than live in uncertainty.

  12. Yes, it's better to let it go once the heart's wounded. Then, find the true love according to your soul. Search for the betterment of your life not giving a chance to loneliness. Keep it moving like the waves in the shore.

    1. There are surely good things that never last, Sir Fernando. Sometimes, the more we want to works things out, the more heartbroken we get.

    1. But there are still couples who prefer to feel pain.. fight then make up just to keep each other. They never realize the importance of every moment they wasted when they allow anger and abuse in their relationship.

  15. You are absolutely right. It is too bad many couples stay together just for the sake of the children, and therefore the children are the ones who suffer from their constant fights.
