Beyond happiness is what you feel
when you're in cloud 9
It's like you're floating on air
and you wish to stay there forever
Living a life in comfort and wealth
brings an extreme euphoria
but a castle is an empty place
Working for a job that pays high
means a career to keep
yet doing something that makes you dispirited
can leave you sad and exhausted
Seeing your most favorite people
may drive you crazy
But being with the person who value your being
is more worthwhile and exciting.
Reaching your goals and dreams
gives you a level of satisfaction
You get hold of what you wanted
Savor the victory... no time to be wasted.
Have you been in cloud 9?
I know you have gone there many times
but no matter how seldom or frequent
It's how you spend and cherish every moment
Hmm, your post made me think a lot. Actually, it turns out I have never been in Cloud 9, probably because I did not have a lot of happy events in my life besides having my 2 kids but even then I did not feel that entire bliss and joy you are talking about because I was scared with the responsibility of raising them. Anyways, I wish I had similar emotions one day. Lovely poem!
ReplyDeleteBeing in cloud 9 depends on how you see happiness. But if you think you haven't been there because you never feel the joy overflowing... then there's something missing in you that prevent you from experiencing ultimate pleasure.

DeleteI get my cloud 9 moments when I travel and when I see my family complete. As we grow older, we will realize that moments and experiences have more value over material things.

DeleteI agree. We tend to be distracted by the less important things of this world, then find ourselves miserable and dispirited for having chosen so. :(

DeleteCloud 9 is a state of mind. It need not be fancy or expensive. As long as we are with the people we hold dear and are happy and content together, that is already my Cloud 9.
ReplyDeleteWe can seek happiness in every corner of the universe even the simplest of anything can make us jump for joy. It's how we perceive cloud 9 in our own point of view.
DeleteI am in Cloud9 whenever I am with people I love, whenever I work hard and see meaning in the work that I do and whenever the grace of God touches my heart. There are so many reasons to be in Cloud 9, I wish I can write a poem as well as you do.
ReplyDeleteI'm always at Cloud 5-8? Haha... I'm easily pleased but yet I'm ambitious, aiming for higher achievements... I try not to get overly confident or happy so that I remember to be on top form!

ReplyDeleteI salute every mother for their patience and their unending love. Though we are a big headache (sometimes), we know for a fact that we are your source of happiness, and we will always cherish that fact.
ReplyDeleteIt is a great feeling to be in Cloud 9! i am in cloud 9 whenever I am with the people I love especially if my husband and daughter are both here. We seldom have time together.

Aww this is just sweet! :) It's also seldom for me to be on Cloud 9. Given the work load I have, but I still linger on those moments.
